Monty & Marsha BrownMonty Brown with his cousin in their ancestral home
The great sites of Britain are easily recognizable. Big Ben, Parliament, Tower Bridge, Stonehenge and so on. But unless you have a cousin to take you around the countryside, you might miss some of the greatest treasures to be found here.

Filmmakers Monty and Marsha Brown return to Monty’s homeland in this journey throughout the English, Scottish and Welsh countrysides. They call on some of Monty’s British cousins, and go in search of the family history. Crooked house in Lavenham, EnglandTheir quest leads through both large cities and quaint English towns, through a slice of Scotland, English friary ruinsbeyond Welsh castles, over the moors and along the back roads and byways of one of the most popular destinations of American tourists, Great Britain. Along the way, Monty and Marsha explore ruined abbeys, seaside villages and national parks. There are the usual stops, of course, Stonehenge and London’s highlights, for example, but there’s so much more to see and experience.

Indeed, this is more than an average tourist adventure. Monty and Marsha, accomplished musicians and recording artists, frequently join in with local musicians, making music with their English friends and neighbors. There’s little formality needed - any old pub will do - and Stonehenge ruinspark rangers and bus drivers all chip in to the musical Westbury White Horsemix.

But there’s more than just music. There are great stone circles tumbled around the countryside. There are giant white horses cut from chalk hillsides. There are stories of Robin Hood, and strange, mysterious, haunting ghost dogs.
