is only one spot in America where four states meet. The borders
of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah intersect among the
scenic mountains, raging rivers, remote canyons and historic
cultures of the American Southwest. We’ll dig into the history
of the San Juan MOUNTAINS of Colorado, where a historic steam
train whistles its way down through the Animas River canyon.
Following RIVERS to the red rock country of Utah and Arizona,
we’ll explore the labyrinths of Lake Powell, and visit incredible
slot CANYONS. Blazing bikes on slickrock trails set the pace
for our tour of Arches, Capitol Reef, Grand Staircase-Escalante,
Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Bryce Canyon and Zion National
Parks. Finally, shopping for pottery highlights visits to Taos
and Santa Fe, followed by tours of ancient CULTURES, and a huge
Native American Gathering of Nations. |
